Birthday at Riverfest

Spent a great morning at Riverfest on Abby's birthday!

Seventh Birth Day

Abby and Sammie whipped up the birthday cake
from the recipe in this book.

They'll enjoy the cake later with the boy cousins & Titus in Rochester.

A trip with Grandpa to the doughnut shop
resulted in "birthday donuts".  

We sang "Happy Birthday" and enjoyed the breeze
while the cake baked.

Eventually we got a wet washcloth.  S'mores are yummy AND messy!

The evening was cool.

The fire was delightful!

Our Fortieth

After church we celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary day

at The Back 40 Junction in Decatur, IN.
40/Forty.  

We're looking forward to a trip to Buffalo, NY 

which we'll tag onto a business trip in July.  

We hear there are many beautiful gardens throughout the city 

that are open to the public all summer.

Thanking God for His faithfulness to us, our marriage, our children...

and wondering where the 40 years have gone!?!
