Afternoon of Day 1
Stopped in the Warsaw/Winona Lake area to eat and find the Billy Sunday Museum.
Kid's Meal at Dairy Queen included a treat!
And this framed article on the D.Q. wall gave us a hint
of some of the history of the Winona Lake area...
Below, grandsons pose in front of life-sized Billy Sunday--
baseball player turned fiery evangelist!
The tabernacle named after him has been razed,
but there is much interesting memorabilia in this small museum
located uphill in Westminster Hall.
I remember the bicycles-built-for-two, rentable,
from when I lived there in the early 60's.
So many changes here. Gary and I will go back
to this beautiful place and take our time "touring" one day soon, God-willing.
